You don’t have to buy a Ferrari to enter your first race. ProFormance Racing School Arrive & Drive race car rentals offer an affordable way to ease in to the sport, step by step.
How do you go about racing? Do you have to buy and maintain a car? A garage? Join a team?
Many drivers at ProFormance, having finished the One-Day High Performance Driving Experience, are bitten with the driving bug and consider taking the Two-Day Competition Race Licensing course to add race craft techniques to thier newly found high performance driving skills. However, they’re not sure what they’ll do with their racing certification once they get it.
Others have already taken the race licensing course, and are raring to get into a race, but don’t know where to start, because they think they have to buy and maintain a racecar, tow vehicle, and trailer.
Want to race? Don’t buy – rent!
There’s a way to try out racing without making a big investment. The support network through ProFormance and within the local race clubs is incredibly strong. Arrive & Drive PRO3 race car rentals, along with other ready-to-drive racing sedans are available for rent through ProFormance Racing School. Here are the advantages of renting:
- No need to buy a car, trailer, or tow vehicle.
- No need to maintain the vehicle. Tires, fuel, brakes, upkeep: it’s all done for you.
- It’s fast: just arrive and drive.
- Mentoring: The ProFormance Arrive and Drive program offers mentoring and driver coaches so you get the most out of your race weekend.
- It’s affordable. Porsches and Ferraris are in the six figures. A race weekend with a rental generally ranges from $2500-$3,500.
And of course, if you find that you want to jump in with both feet afterwards, as many ProFormance clients do, the school will help you with advice to purchasing your own race car.
PRO3 – A warm welcome for amateur racers
PRO3 cars are BMW sedans that race in their own class. It’s an exciting and challenging racing class that was created by two ProFormance instructors, Wes Hill, and Ken Hill. And while PRO3 features many expert, seasoned drivers, it’s also welcoming to newcomers and people who just want to get their feet wet in the world of racing. In fact, PRO3 might be the friendliest racing group out there.
What’s more, if you’ve taken the ProFormance 2-Day Race Licensing course you’ll be racing on the same track that you trained and qualified at!
When to start racing? Now!
“Once you pass the 2-Day Race Licensing course, you’re ready to go. Every fall there exists a scenerio of licensing Wed.-Thurs. October 2nd-3rd, then participating in your first amateur race Friday, Saturday, Sunday” says Donna Porada-Kitch, ProFormance’s Chief of Operations. There’s still time to qualify for the 4th Annual Pacific Raceways Invitational on October 4-6th if you make your move now. This invitational is a casual, low-key event that’s ideal for new racers. No points, just fun, in a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
