High Performance Sport Lapping
Usually held Wednesday through Sunday, our lapping programs are available to drivers who have obtained their ProFormance Solo Sport Driving License, as well as drivers active in the high performance driving community. Each session has a limited car count to provide drivers with the best possible experience.
If you have completed the One-Day High Performance Driving Experience and are interested in sport lapping but have not signed up for your Sport Lapping with Coaching Session, please do that first.
Safety requirements for all lapping programs
Participants must ensure that their car is in proper mechanical condition for lapping. Check the list below for requirements.
Helmets
All drivers at Solo Sport Lapping Sessions must wear helmets with a Snell SA2020 certification. If you do not have one, ProFormance will provide rental helmets for a $30.00/day charge.
Logbooks
There is a drivers’ meeting before every lapping session at ProFormance. These points will be covered at the meeting:
Every lapping driver is provided with a ProFormance Driver’s Logbook. This book is a working instrument that you should keep in your car so you can establish a driver’s notes system to track your progress.
Mandatory Drivers’ Meeting
- No ride giving — this is an insurance issue. The rule is in place to manage your risk and legal exposure.
- Remember this is sport driving at 7/10ths – not full-on racing!
- Entry to and exit from the track will be discussed.
- Passing on the front straightaway is permitted only at the indication of the instructor or lapping driver. Driver guidelines and let-by-zones will be discussed.
- If there are new guidelines relevant to that particular day’s session, ProFormance staff will review those at the meeting.
Maintaining Your Solo Sport Driving License
Keep in mind that you must sign up for a Solo Sport Lapping Session at least once a year to keep your license valid.
Private Instructors
Private instructors are available for an additional $150.00 per 45-minute session for advanced coaching. A full-time coach can also be arranged.

All-Day High Performance Lapping Clinics
Drivers who have obtained their Solo Sport Driving License* are eligible to participate in All-Day High Performance Sport Lapping Sessions, which combine on-track experience with brief classroom breakout sessions to provide a productive learning environment.
Rain is a great learning environment, and the school operates rain or shine. Clients are always amazed at how much they learn in the wet and how much fun they have.
At ProFormance, safety is our top priority. ProFormance instructors are committed to your fun, learning, and SAFE experience while with us. Failure is not an option. In our 31-year history conducting curriculum for thousands of drivers, we have never had two cars contact each other.
Our young students must be 15.5 years of age with a valid state learner’s permit. Ideally, 3 – 6 months of driving experience will benefit their learning experience. ProFormance does not conduct a curriculum in basic motor vehicle operation – our focus is developing skill sets in Advanced Car Control and Street Survival.
ProFormance provides helmets free of charge for the first year of driving with us. They are the latest Snell-approved helmets, open-faced and wired for radio transmission between you and your instructor. When you decide this sport is something you want to do regularly, we’ll steer you to knowledgeable companies who can assist you in obtaining safety equipment for you and your car.
When ProFormance holds All-Day High Performance Sport Lapping Sessions, as well as our Twilight Lapping Sessions, drivers are divided into intermediate and advanced groups, based on skill level and car capability. This provides a better experience for the drivers in each category.
Personal coaching is available upon request for an additional charge of $150.00 per coaching session.

AM High Performance Sport Lapping
Our morning High Performance Sport Lapping session.

The schedule is approximate and allows for 3 hours of lapping time. Lapping drivers are continually evaluated to assess their ability to function within the guidelines of the lapping program.

PM High Performance Sport Lapping
Our afternoon High Performance Sport Lapping session.
Schedule:
- 11:30 am Check-in
- 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Mandatory drivers’ meeting
- 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm On-track lapping
- 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Lunch
- 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm On-track lapping (end time based on time of year)
Please note that our PM High Performance Sport Lapping schedule begins 30 minutes earlier than the times listed above and does not include the 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm lunch break on our All-Day Lapping Days.

Power Lunch Sport Lapping
Need a shot of adrenaline and speed, but need to be back at the office by 2:00 PM? Try out our Power Lunch Program! One hour of track time to feed your need for speed in a most efficient manner.
Please note: If you sign up for the All-Day High Performance Sport Lapping session, you do not need to sign up for the Power Lunch High Performance Sport Lapping session on the same day, as the former includes the latter.

Insurance: Often, clients ask us if their auto insurance covers their activities at ProFormance. The best approach is to read your policy. You will probably find a section that deals with training and events conducted at a racing facility.
Please note that ProFormance events are non-timed and considered advanced driver education. Check your specific policy for details. Additional options for on-track coverage are Hagerty, Lockton Affinity, or On-Track.
Cancellations: We require 8 days’ notice for cancellation. Failure to notify our office, either by call, email, or text, before 8 days from your scheduled date, will result in forfeiture of tuition. Payment in full is required 8 days before your scheduled event. No refunds, credits, or exchanges are given for cancellations less than 8 days from your scheduled date, with full 100% tuition due. No refunds or credits due to mechanical or weather day of the event. Prices are subject to change without notice. Sorry, but some restrictions may apply.
This is not competition driving; this is a high-speed driving school, on a racetrack, under close supervision by instructors. While the overriding consideration during the operation of the event is safety, incidents may occur that could cause vehicle damage and/or personal injury. You will be driving in a class session with other students and instructors whose vehicles may be uninsured and/or unregistered.
* NOTE: Your ProFormance Solo Sport Driving License is not a racing license. It permits you to participate in Solo Lapping Sessions at ProFormance Racing School. If you want to race, you need to take our Two-Day Accredited Competition Race Licensing course.
