Year round, ProFormance is ready to get you on the track with an abundance of lapping days.
Once you take the One-Day High Performance Driving Experience, it’s easy to catch the sport driving bug. The challenge is getting enough track time once you’re hooked.
Drivers are often introduced to the joys of performance driving when they join a car club and that’s a great way to gain knowledge, meet superb people, and enjoy camaraderie with fellow drivers. But for those serious about skill development and needing more time on track to practice, ProFormance Racing School has a schedule to meet your needs.
ProFormance: more track time than anywhere else
If you love motorsports, and want to maximize your sport driving time, ProFormance is the way to go. “We hold some 90 lapping days a year at Pacific Raceways,” says Donna Porada-Kitch, ProFormance’s Chief of Operations. Look at the schedule, and chances are you’ll find a lapping day opening up that week or the next.
Quick fixes for busy drivers

The vast majority of drivers who attend lapping days are enthusiastic amateurs who fit their sport driving in when they’re not doing their day job. The sheer number of opportunities that ProFormance offers helps accommodate these busy people.
In addition, we help out by offering different types of events that are tailored specifically to the busy schedules of high performance sport drivers. “No one else has Power Lunch lapping,” says Donna, referring to the popular 12:30pm – 1:30pm slot that enables drivers to escape the office for 60 minutes of speed therapy. “Also no one else offers half-day lapping programs.”
Having these convenient options means that drivers who can’t always devote a full day to lapping can still hone their skills and indulge in their hobby regularly.
Weekday track time: a ProFormance perk
Donna notes that there are, roughly speaking, two types of drivers: weekday and weekend drivers. Weekend drivers tend to be committed to a regular Monday-Friday job, and Saturdays and Sundays are their chance to relax and enjoy some sport lapping. Weekday drivers are those who need to reserve the weekend for family activities. ProFormance has the capacity to cater to both groups.
More driving time per event
Another perk that ProFormance offers is the chance to do more driving at the event. “A lot of clubs run three or four groups every hour on the track during their events,” says Donna. That sometimes means being on the track 20 minutes, followed by a 75 minute wait for the next go-round. “We run two groups, an intermediate and an advanced, so that’s more track time for everyone.”
An extra plus: race car rentals
If you love sport driving but have nothing but the family car to put through the paces — of if you just want a change of pace from your regular ride — ProFormance gives you the option of renting one of our Toyota GR86 sport coupés for the day. These lightweight, responsive, and powerful fastbacks deliver a load of thrills, and you can leave the maintenance to us!
Why we love car clubs
“Porsche, Alfa, and BMW all have car clubs, and drivers love them for good reason,” says Donna. “They introduce people to the sport, and give members a chance to talk and learn about their brands. It’s also a great social time for them.” A lot of club members come to ProFormance to continue their instruction with more track time or to move on to racing.
“We love the car clubs,” says Donna. “We both benefit. They bring us new drivers, and we help them get more out of their cars.”
ProFormance is also set up to help car clubs extend their reach. Recently the Porsche Club of America Pacific Northwest Region joined with ProFormance to present the annual Women Setting the Pace event. Donna notes that the Porsche Club brought in some wonderful new participants, and ProFormance offered their resources, which resulted in a successful weekend.
Working together for our favorite people: drivers
Ultimately, it’s a win-win arrangement, with the clubs bringing drivers together and fueling their enthusiasm, and ProFormance giving more opportunities to stretch out on the track.
“We both benefit,” says Donna. “We support the clubs, and they bring people into the sport.” The symbiotic ProFormance-car club relationship has been going strong for decades, and it’s set to continue as we look forward to the future.
