Women Setting the Pace Track Day – Novice High Performance Driving Experience

The genesis of WIMNA was a collaboration between motorsport entrepreneur Beth Paretta and Lyn St. James, former first women named rookie of the year at the Indy 500, at the age of 45, with 5 Indy 500 racing starts. Lyn, a long-time supporter of women in racing and inspirational figure for the cause, was head of the Women’s Sports Foundation. They agreed that it was time to start a foundation to promote the role of women in racing. WIMNA was born, and Cindy Sisson, who had advocated for women as Marketing Director of the LPGA, became Executive Director. The organization, a 501c3 nonprofit, is dedicated to creating opportunities for women in motorsport by fostering mentorship, advocacy, education and growth.

A Full Schedule
The Pacific NW Region Porsche Club of America will also be involved in Women Setting the Pace this year. The event will feature some new guest speakers as well. You can also expect the attractions that have added to the event’s popularity: ride-alongs, exotic cars, catered lunch, and swag.
No Experience necessary! Use your car or rent one of ours.

Need a car?
Car Rentals available for an additional fee: 2024 Toyota GR86 Race Sedan or equivalent $600.00 (paddle-shift automatic). Rental fee includes fuel.
On the day of your Clinic:
- Prior to arriving, be sure to empty your car of valuables to avoid unsecured storage while at the track.
- Lightweight comfortable clothing is recommended, along with thin, soft-soled shoes for maximum pedal “feel.”
- Be prepared for some walking over uneven terrain in the afternoon.
- We offer a stocked refrigerator of water and sodas for an additional $2.00
- For your planning purposes, the end time will occur no later than 5:00 pm
If you are using your own car:
- Brakes must be in excellent condition.
- Tires must be in good condition, with adequate tread depth and no “plug repair” to punctures. Tire pressures should be set to manufacturer’s specs.
- All loose items inside the car and trunk must be removed prior to the driving exercises. Please leave these items at home, to avoid storage at Pacific Raceways Inc.
- Seat belts must be present and functional in both driver and passenger seats.
- Soft-top cars must have roll bar or DOT “pop-up” approved rollover device. Drivers are required to sign convertible waiver.
- No air or fuel is available on site at Pacific Raceways so you will want to come prepared with a full tank of fuel. Fuel refill available during lunch hour.
- You will be required to sign waiver documents (accident liability release) prior to driving instructions; this is a standard procedure for all events conducted at Pacific Raceways Inc.

Cancellations: We require 8 days’ notice for cancellation. Failure to notify our office, either by text or email prior to 8 days from your reserved school date, will result in forfeiture of tuition. No refunds, exchanges, or credits are given for cancellation less than 8 days from the scheduled date.
