Steve Pool: Giving Thanks for Our Friendship

ProFormance notes the passing of a fine broadcaster and a good friend.

Don Kitch, Jr. showing Steve Pool the ropes.

Many Seattle residents were saddened by the news that Steve Pool, long-time weather anchor for KOMO-TV, had passed away recently. They might not know that Steve was a car guy and a great friend of us at ProFormance Racing School.

We worked with Steve on fundraising for Miracle House Guild, an organization which supports Seattle Children’s Hospital’s commitment to providing care for all children, regardless of their ability to pay.

Steve was always a fun, positive, and high-energy presence. We had the pleasure of being in the right seat with him as he navigated around Pacific Raceways for his video, “I Wanna Be a Race Car Driver.” No doubt that 1995 video inspired a lot of kids who are now ProFormance regulars.

We bid Steve farewell. Thanks for all your friendship, kindness, and the passionate advocacy for those in need. We’ll miss you!
