Teen Driver Street Survival Skills Clinic 9 AM check in 3 pm conclusion.
Clinic Overview & Highlights:
45 minute classroom session followed by practical driving experience.
Classroom to include: All physical & mental approaches to driving, concentration levels, situation awareness, “DWD” (Driving while Distracted) active and passive safety systems, seating position, vision skills, “no such thing as a car accident” driving vs operating a motor vehicle.
An overview of 4 nationally recognized driving exercises students will do in braking, steering, & vision skills.
Practical Experience to Include:
Threshold braking, ABS Experience, ABS Avoidance Maneuver
Advanced Car Control, High Aim Vision Slalom
Emergency Lane Change, Collision Avoidance Maneuver
Braking into a Turn Experience
At conclusion of the clinic, participants will have an opportunity to experience a 2 lap “tour” of the road racing course lead by an instructor.
Age Requirement: 15.5 years old with a valid state learner’s permit. Teen Drivers should participate in the vehicle they drive most commonly. We welcome and encourage parents to observe and audit the program.
Tuition: $250.00 per driver. Includes catered breakfast & lunch. Limited to 40 participants.
